Light: a result of darkness

Writer: Mabel's Looking GlassMabel's Looking Glass

Until and unless you have seen darkness you won’t understand light..

I hide in the shadows

And from the pain

Longing for the meadows

But now I’m tied with chains

Hidden words

My whispers choked

Emotions hidden

They are always cloaked

The mask breaks

There are now many cracks

My heart aches

I just want to hold back

I’ve been snatched

Darkness engulfs me

Leaving nothing but the scratch

Oh! please just let me be

Sunlight disappears from the shattered glass

Everything takes me to the past

Hidden deep inside the hourglass

Now nothing will last

I feel broken

And my tears about to fall

Looking deep in my heart

Focusing on what I’ve achieved,

if I can even recall

I push harder and harder

Shadows disperse

I feel like I have a mental disorder

It all just seems like an evil curse

Light shines through

My heart begins to melt

It’s the worst thing

I could have ever felt

The pain is deep

It goes till deep inside my core

My scars left open

But, I’m so sore

Nevertheless, the light shines through

It covers me

Bathed in all of god’s bliss

I can finally see

Love is pure beauty

It hides in the pitch dark

It takes a lot of courage

Only to see its mark

Light threw me out

Brought me back to the bright

From the darkness, I evolved

It’s such a magnificent sight
