Remembering our friendship

This song is so personal to me now, it was our song. The song which you allowed me to sing off-key and in the wrong pitch because you liked it. You sang it with me.

Now this song seems like an innuendo, a hint that you were going. This song was code for I don’t feel so good but our love and friendship will remain forever.

You made my life so much easier and brought me so much joy. You just knew it somehow. Just like the song says I think of our friendship as an unbreakable bond, the truest of the true.

I always wished that you would stay with me forever, you would be there on my so-called “milestones” and I would be there with you through it all. The song perfectly describes how that I couldn’t and honestly can’t still imagine a day without you in my life.

When I hear or sing the song now, there’s a small void but mostly joy of the times we spent singing it together and acting like we were in that scooter. The song is just a small ode to our indescribable friendship.

I hear your voice every time I sing the song. I feel elated to share it with you. I know you weren’t very good with words but you know this song explained it.
